Here's the thing nobody tells you in first year: Minitab is a brilliant calculator, but it is also a painfully obedient one. Feed it messy, skewed or badly calibrated data, and it won't bat an eyelid. It'll run your ANOVA or your regression without complaint and hand you four decimal places of confident-looking precision even if the whole thing is nonsense underneath. The software can't smell bad sampling. It can't sense a dodgy sensor. It just does the sums you give it, nothing more, nothing less.

So before those numbers make it anywhere near your final write-up, they deserve a proper once-over.
